In this study, Erasmus Gaß analyzes the difficult growth of the appendices to the priestly part of Joshua. It seems that many hands were working on Jos 20-22, which is also indicated by the surpluses and deviations of the LXX. In this appendix, priestly and Deuteronomistic editors have tried to record their theological conceptions.
