"A stunning book and a new series that has become a must read." M.W. Craven, Theakston Crime Novel of the Year and Sunday Times Bestselling author of the Washington Poe series A murder exposes a web of corruption and lies. Only Solomon Gray can reveal the truth. Until his family are put in harm's way... DI Solomon Gray is finally enjoying a rare day off with his four-year-old daughter when he's called to an incident - two private security guards performing a citizens arrest. The detainee, Christopher Saunders, is on a mission to infiltrate an immigrant hostel and expose a whistle-blower's secret. But in a heart-stopping twist, Gray discovers the lifeless body of the whistle-blower. As Gray delves deeper into the case, he uncovers a labyrinthine network of government contracts and hidden interests, personal gain and hidden power structures. The stakes when a company lawyer serves Gray with a writ, leaving no doubt that forces are determined to silence Gray. With a new Chief Constable sweeping through Kent police, Gray soon faces an ultimatum: retire or accept a dead-end role far from his family. Someone wants Gray to remain quiet. Undeterred, Gray takes daring steps to keep the investigation alive, even as a malevolent presence threatens his loved ones and systematically removes his allies from the board. Now, Gray must race against the clock to unmask the murderer, protect his family, and confront a chilling reality - the corruption may extend all the way to the highest ranks of the police. The Dead Can't Lie is a thrilling journey through danger, betrayal, and the relentless pursuit of justice, where no-one is quite who they seem. Gray isn't the kind of man to give up easily. And his opponents know it... The Dead Can't Lie is the eighth novel in the No.1 Best-Selling Solomon Gray series. Set in the once grand town of Margate in the south of England, this police suspense thriller is perfect for fans of Ian Rankin, Stuart MacBride, and Peter James. "... deeply emotional, a dark roller-coaster ride." Ed James What Others Say "Keith Nixon is one hell of a writer." Ken Bruen, author of the Jack Taylor series "A compelling murder mystery with a multilayered and engaging new hero. Great read."
