The author is former Professor, National Science Foundation, The Royal Society, Belgium and Senior Fellow, Alexander von Humboldt Research Foundation, The Federal Republic of Germany. He has held many other distinguished research and administrative positions, globally, and is best known for developing "The Nutrient BUffer Power Concept", a revolutionary soil management technique that he has developed over three decades of research in Europe, Africa and Asia, which has challenged the fallacies of the highly soil extractive farming, euphemistically known as the green revolution, and, India's great President, late Dr. A.P.J.
